Wasp Nest Removal Bredbury
Same-day nest treatment across Bredbury and Bredbury Green. £60, nothing extra.
Why Choose Us for Bredbury Wasp Control?
Bredbury sits between the M60 and the wooded ground that falls away to the rivers, ten minutes or so from our base along the A560. It is a place of two halves for us. Most calls come from the post-war semis around Bredbury Green and the avenues off Ashton Road; a steady minority come from the warehouses and yards of Bredbury Park, one of the biggest industrial estates in the borough.
Prices first, because they are short:
| Job | Price |
|---|---|
| Wasp nest | £60 |
| Hornet nest | £60 |
| Bumblebee nest, where treatment is justified | £70 |
| Call-out, quote, or a look at something uncertain | Nothing |
| Return visit if the colony survives | Nothing |
Payment is after the treatment, and weekends cost the same as weekdays.
The semis around Bredbury Green
Post-war housing dominates here, and its standard weak points repeat street after street: timber or over-clad soffits with a shrunken joint, garage roofs on the side infill, and the felt edge of a kitchen extension. On the Bredbury Green side the gardens back towards the Goyt valley and Chadkirk, and that band of trees and rough bank pushes two extra nest types at the houses nearest the edge. Ground nests appear in lawns and borders, marked by a stream of wasps rising from a single hole, and aerial paper nests hang in hedges where tree wasps have moved in from the woodland.
Lower Bredbury, down towards Portwood, is older and more mixed, and there the entrances tend to be in brickwork rather than plastic trim: a weathered mortar joint, a redundant flue, a vent left open on a gable.
The industrial estate
Units at Bredbury Park collect nests in places houses do not have. Cladding overlaps, loading-bay canopies, stacked pallets left undisturbed since spring, and the steel lips above roller shutters all get used. A nest above a shutter becomes a staff problem the first warm week of August, so most site managers want it gone the day they ring. Where access equipment or an out-of-hours slot is needed we arrange it on the phone; the price for a single nest does not move.
Timing a Bredbury visit
Wasp traffic at an entrance builds through July and peaks in August, and that is when our SK6 diary is fullest. Calling before midday gives the best chance of a same-day slot. Come September a nest is still worth treating if it sits over a door or a child’s trampoline, though one at the far end of the garden can often just be left to die off with the first frosts. We will tell you honestly which case yours is.

Bredbury Wasp Removal: Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. A single nest on a unit at Bredbury Park or along Stockport Road West is the same £60 as a house, treated early or late to avoid disrupting shifts where that helps. Sites with several nests get a price agreed on arrival before any work starts.
£60 for a wasp or hornet nest, £70 for a bumblebee nest where treatment is genuinely warranted, and nothing on top. The guarantee is included, so a colony that survives the first treatment is re-treated free.
